President's Message

Dear Members and well as Brothers and Sisters of our community.

Welcome to our Chamber's 2008 Installation Event. I am very humble at the opportunity to serve the OC Chinese American Chamber of Commerce, as the preside in 2008.

This is going to be a very special year. This is a year where our organization really comes together and grow our existing relationships and begin building bridges to new ones.

Our Mission at the OCCACC is helping you proactively develop your network. I am pro business. With that being said, we all must understand that business does not grow overnight. It builds on new relationships and the OC Chinese American Chamber is one of Southern California's premier place to do it.

The commitment of the leadership team in 2008 is to inspire and create value for our members and for those that support the Chinese-American business commmunity. For members that are active, please stay involved. We need you. For past members, we welcome you back. We need you. For prospective members and supporting organizations, spare us your energy and your experience. We need you.

Let's put a foot print in history this year. To do this, we need all of you.

OCCACC's Purpose

1. Develop Chinese-American commerce by providing assistance in business management, business operation, trade materials, and business experience.

2. Provide Orange County Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce with updated business development information.

3. Provide Chinese-American business communities with legal consultation.

4. Publish Chinese-American Orange County Chamber of Commerce newsletter, and Chinese telephone directory.

5. Provide Chinese-Americans with information of employment opportunities, job placement and development.

6. Unite Chinese-American in better understanding. Provide social activities to eliminate the language, culture, and national origin barriers and handicaps.

7. Establish a fund for the Orange County Chinese-Americans Chamber of Commerce.

8. Establish public relation with the American business community and political parties, both locally and nationwide.

9. Notwithstanding any of the above statements of purpose and powers, this corporation shall not, except to an insubstantial degree, engage in any activities or exercise and powers that are not in furtherance of the above specific purposes of this corporation.

10. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Articles, the corporation shall not carry on any activities not permitted to be carried on (1) by a corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501 (C) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code, or Section 23701 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code or (2) by a
